EHPA Emergency Management SIG Logo

Convener Christy Jackson and her committee members highlight significant public health topics in this year’s Forum, including summer preparedness, public health risks in emergencies, and preparing yourselves for activation in an emergency. We will cover the tools you’ll need in your toolbox to undertake your role as an EHO or any other emergency management role in the structure during an activation.

The Emergency Management Forum, hosted by the Emergency Management SIG of Environmental Health Professionals Australia (EHPA), is a platform for professionals and experts in emergency management to share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences.

Through this forum, EHPA aims to provide the audience with the seasonal outlook for the upcoming summer season, an interactive tabletop exercise, a case study from an EHO involved in the 2022 flood emergency, and a rundown on what EHOs need in their toolboxes when activating for an emergency.
